Meet Dr Sathish Krishnan

Dr Krishnan has almost 20 years of experience caring for babies, children and teenagers, including more than nine years as an NHS consultant. He sees children with both common and more specialist conditions, and takes the time to make sure families understand what is happening and why.

His particular interest is the heart. He provides dedicated neonatal and paediatric echocardiography (heart scan) services, alongside his general paediatric practice.

Specialist heart care for children

Many children are referred for a heart murmur, palpitations or fainting. Dr Krishnan’s assessment includes an ECG and, where needed, an echocardiogram: a painless ultrasound scan of the heart. Families leave with clear answers and a plan.

From newborn feeding worries to teenage headaches. Every consultation includes a careful history and examination, with tests only when they are genuinely needed.

Reflux, colic, milk intolerance, food allergy, eczema, faltering growth, head shape and FPIES.

Breathing

Asthma, chronic cough, recurrent chest infections, hay fever and allergy.

Development

General developmental assessment and investigation of delayed development.

Brain & nerves

Seizures, headaches, funny turns and tics, with BP checks and MRI if needed.

Constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, vomiting, ulcers and coeliac disease.

Bedwetting, urgency, repeated urine infections, antenatal kidney dilatation and blood in the urine.

We use these details to contact you, arrange your child’s appointment and prepare for the consultation. Information about your child’s health is special category data, and we only use it to provide healthcare.

Under UK data protection law, our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before providing care (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR) and the provision of health care (Article 9(2)(h) UK GDPR).

Who we share it with

We never sell your information or use it for marketing.

How long we keep it

Booking requests are deleted from the website system once an appointment has been arranged, and in any case within [3 months]. If your child becomes a patient, their medical records are kept for the periods recommended for children’s health records in the UK.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it. To do any of these, email us at the address above.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
